WRAP认证计划的目标旨在促进及验证全球各地的合法、人道和合符道德的生产做法。参与WRAP认证计划充分说明缝制产品工业通过坚决遵守各项WRAP原则，对推行对社会负责任的业务做法的承担。这项计划尝试透过验证从事制造服装的生产设施符合“环球服装生产社会责任组织”的各项原则――涉及劳工政策、工厂条件及遵守环境管理和海关规定的核心标准来达到上述目的。计划是一个以工厂为中心的认证计划。参与计划的工厂自愿同意由一名独立监察员评估设施是否履行上述原则。
计划的持续执行由WRAP认证委员会负责，委员会由一个独立的董事会和多名行政人员组成，全部成员均为**人士。WRAP审核生产设施的遵从情况报告、批准委任独立监察员，并验证设施已符合有关原则。
